Daktarin 2% Tincture contains miconazole nitrate, a topical antifungal from the imidazole class, applied directly to the skin to help manage certain fungal skin infections. Because it's applied externally, side effects tend to be mild and localised, such as redness, itching, or a mild burning sensation where it's applied, especially on first use. Occasionally, some people notice increased skin irritation or a contact allergic reaction. This tincture is for external skin use only and shouldn't be used near the eyes or on broken or weeping skin unless specifically directed. Completing the full recommended course, even after symptoms improve, helps reduce the chance of the infection returning.
